After DeShone Kizer's disastrous opening series and a blocked punt recovered for a touchdown the Browns rallied to pull within 3 late in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough.

The touchdown was the team's first touchdown in the first quarter of a season opener since 2010, which looks to be a good sign for the Browns offensively with a rookie leading the way for them under center. The Browns offense will not be the highest-octane offense the Steelers face, but if it is unable to hold the Browns in check, then the season may be a long one for Butler's unit. The key play in the 68-yard drive was a 21-yard pass interference penalty on Steelers safety Sean Davis at the Pittsburgh 4-yard line.

On third-and-goal from the Browns' four-yard line, veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threaded the needle through a host of Cleveland defenders to tight end Jesse James along the back line of the end zone, and the extra-point try gave the Steelers a 14-7 lead. Two of the sacks were by rookie T.J. Watt, the younger brother of Houston star J.J. Watt, who also had an interception in a memorable debut. After a draw play, the Browns lined up to punt. Cleveland T Joe Thomas, who has never missed a snap with the Browns, started his 161st straight game on Sunday.

Senate committee to interview Trump Jr. behind closed doors
Cohen said he sent the message on the recommendation of Trump associate Felix Sater, a Russian-born developer and US citizen. Another Senate panel, the intelligence committee, is also weighing an interview with Trump Jr.

According to Pro Football Talk, the players got the idea for the video after talking with former Browns great Jim Brown during the preseason.

What it means for the Browns: 2017 was supposed to build off last season's 1-15 campaign.
