Similar raids were going on at 12 places in the Valley on Thursday, news agency IANS quoted NIA sources as saying.

We have seen mass killings, operation catch and kill, Ikwani and SOG terrorism, burnings, destruction and worst incarcerations but all that has failed to defeat the passion of this tiny but resilient nation and God willingly this malicious NIA campaign will also see its fate and last triumph will belong to oppressed and suppressed Kashmiris, said Yasin Malik.

"People in hundreds assembled in the courtyard of Aga Hasan after breaking through the gates and started sloganeering".

Sources said that the NIA sleuths raided the residence of Agha Hassan at Shariat Abad in Budgam soon after sunrise.

The NIA teams also raided the residences Zameer Sheikh and Razzaq Choudhary, both close aides of senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, who is in custody of Enforcement Directorate.

The NIA has been probing several separatist leaders in the terror funding case. "A posse of policemen raided Abi Guzar office of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) in the heart of Srinagar and arrested Malik to desist him from spearheading the poll boycott campaign", a JKLF spokesman had said.

In Srinagar, another NIA team raided the joint house of JKLF leader and one-time "District Commander" Shaukat Bakhshi and his brother Shakeel Bakhshi at Gausiya Colony, Bemina.
