Amit Shah arrives in Odisha to strengthen BJP grassroots

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has chose to fight the Odisha elections solo, informed its national president Amit Shah on Thursday who is on a three-day tour to Odisha.

BJP president Amit Shah's decision to appoint Alphons, a former IAS officer of Kerala, to look after the election to one of the north-eastern states comes two days after he took a meeting of the core group leaders to give a shape to its electoral strategy. The BJP has just 10 MLAs in the assembly.
