Apple will likely unveil new iPhones on September 12

Apple has been widely rumoured to launch as many as three new handsets at its iPhone anniversary event, including a redesigned hero model that could even forgo a Home button for the first time.

iPhone users awaiting the arrival of Apple's next-generation smartphone now have a date to circle on the calendar.

The company are expected to launch one helluva tenth anniversary iPhone, after many were disappointed with the iPhone 7's minimal upgrade compared to the 6S.

Virgin Media from Ireland has just released a poster asking their customers to register if they would like to be the first to know about the upcoming device, the Apple iPhone 8.

As there is no official word from the company it is quite hard to guess what Apple's product strategy actually is especially with this new development. The names iPhone "Edition" and iPhone X have been circulated over the worldwide web before too, but for a number of reasons the industry as well as were clinched on calling it the iPhone 8. However a new report from Dutch website iCulture (via The Next Web) is suggesting otherwise.

In June, iPhone assembler Wistron confirmed that this year's iPhones will be waterproof.

The Acer headset will be the cheapest, at $299, followed by the HP at $329, and Dell / Lenovo pricing theirs at $349. Windows 10 was designed as a service, whereby feature updates are required a couple times a year.

Coming to the price details, iPhone 8 is expected to come with a price tag of $999 with an OLED display.

A beta version of iOS 11 is now being offered, but you have to sign up to test it. Two will be fairly incremental updates to last year's iPhone 7, we're told.

However, the KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claimed the new iPhone will support faster charging, but fans will have to spend more money on a Lightning-to-USB-C cable and wall adapter for that feature.

The company sent out invitations Thursday announcing September 12 as the date for the company's annual post-Labor Day showcase.

Now that iPhone 8 is only a few days away from being officially unveiled, the entire world keeps on sparking rumors about it. Moreover, all the devices are expected to go up on pre-order starting September 15 while shipments could likely begin on September 22.
