Microsoft has announced that its next major Windows 10 update at IFA 2017 - the largest European tech show in the calendar - will arrive from 17 October 2017.

The next update of Windows 10, the Fall Creators Update, will be available worldwide October 17.

The new version of Windows 10 finally brings Windows Mixed Reality headsets to the world, after it was originally teased for this spring's Windows 10 update. With the Fall Creators Update we are introducing some fun, new ways to get creative.

Microsoft also will designate a September build of Windows Server 2016's first feature update (1709) as its "launch" candidate, as the company plans to announce at its Ignite conference in late September.

I can't take my emotions for granted. "I mean, I've always considered the draws to be fairly similar, no matter where you end up". No. 19 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova missed her opportunities Wednesday, as she fell 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 to Christina McHale of the U.S.

The Acer headset will be the cheapest, at $299, followed by the HP at $329, and Dell / Lenovo pricing theirs at $349. Win10 will also offer "Game Mode", which allows video gamers to devote the full processing power of their computers to what they are playing, as if it was an Xbox game console, the company said. That said, not all users are enthused with the necessity to upgrade, because, as we have come to realize, Windows 10 upgrades can break apps and hardware drivers.

The Fall Creators Update also include OneDrive filed on-demand. Those headsets and motion controllers are slated to launch alongside the Windows Fall Creators Update on October 17, starting at $299.

The price tag of the upcoming headsets points out that manufacturers aim to compete with each other, but even more with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Windows 10 was designed as a service, whereby feature updates are required a couple times a year. Instead of using lighthouses, sensors, or a camera, the Mixed Reality sets for Windows 10 will have "inside-out" spatial tracking that relies on internal cameras, along with accelerometers within the controllers and linking sensors to the headset for positional awareness and motion tracking.

You'll likely notice the new My People feature when you install the update, as it allows you to select your three best friends and add them as icons in the taskbar for quick and easy contact - though the Insider Preview version limits you to using Skype or Mail alone.
