Napoli eased into the Champions League group stage yesterday morning (Singapore time), while Sevilla and Celtic also went through.

Eight more goals came calling in a quartet of UEFA Champions League playoff round second legs on Tuesday, as Sevilla, Napoli, Maribor, and Olympiacos joined the Bhoys in the group stage.

Napoli, who won their group last season before being dumped out by eventual champions Real Madrid in the last 16, could have extended their overall advantage before the interval with Kalidou Koulibaly, Insigne and Callejon all going close.

He added: "The Europa League is the right level for Nice and it'll be a hard tournament".

Balotelli, who missed the first leg through injury, was sluggish, off the pace and never threatened the Napoli goal and the maverick Italian was eventually substituted during the second half to jeers from the home fans.

The Serie A club sealed their place in Thursday's draw after a comprehensive 4-0 aggregate win against French club Nice on Wednesday.

Goals from Sergio Escudero and Wissam Ben Yedder looked to have secured Sevilla's progress past their Turkish opponents but Edin Visca pulled one back in the 83rd minute.

But Olivier Ntcham ended Astana's hopes when his deflected strike made it 4-2 on the night before Leigh Griffiths reduced the deficit further in the final minute. "From the moment we got them in the draw, I knew it was going to be very hard".

Maribor blanked Hapoel Beer Sheva 1-0 for an aggregate score of 2-2, advancing by virtue of their away goal in the first leg in Israel. German global Marko Marin scored the only goal on the night.
