Chicago White Sox rookie Yoan Moncada exits on stretcher after collision

A sprinting Moncada tried to pull up as Garcia went for the sliding catch, but he kneed the right fielder in the head and the ball trickled out of Garcia's glove. Then, Matt Davidson singled home the winning run. After trading several veterans for more prospects in July, they were quiet on the final day of the month. But with players like Joseph, Hernandez, Galvis and Rupp, their salaries are so low (relatively speaking, obviously) that a team would be fine with assuming one of their contracts.

The White Sox are also without center fielder Adam Engel on Tuesday. A second former Western Michigan football player is heading to prison in an armed robbery of a woman near campus.

It was great to see this team comeback.

The 24-year-old Garcia was hurt in a collision with second baseman Yoan Moncada on Monday night.

With two outs and the bases loaded, Barney hit a fly ball into shallow right field. "But once they brought me in here, they told me it was nothing serious, and I (felt) relieved". Fowler ruptured his patella tendon which ended his season before he even stepped up to the plate.

"I was very concerned about the knee because I was in a lot of pain", Moncada said through an interpreter.

Key Liverpool Player Out For Two Months With Thigh Injury
While Liverpool seldom struggle against teams who want to win, they are often frustrated by lesser sides with limited ambitions. In all fairness, his stats are not really good enough to replace someone as good as Coutinho at Anfield.

Garcia, another rookie for Chicago, was hitting.258 with two home runs before his injury.

"I think these were probably the four biggest salaried players that we had to trade", Klentak said of the four players he dealt this week. As such. It didn't look like he would suffer ligament damage the way that Kyle Schwarber did last year, for example.

"It's huge for us", Davidson said of the victory. Moncada avoiding serious injury is a good thing for everyone.

Davidson attributes some of his recent success to a team meeting the White Sox held in Kansas City. Carolina Hurricanes owner Peter Karmanos Jr. said he wants to sell his team for about $500 million.

Blue Jays: RHP Aaron Sanchez, who is on the disabled list because of a recurrence of a blister on the middle finger of his right hand, is nearing a return.
