He was taken to a children's hospital for surgery.

According to Cleveland Police, it all started after the boy's mother repeatedly honked her horn at a white Pontiac vehicle that was blocking the road.

The woman's 7-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle but wasn't injured.

Police said the bullet fragments did not penetrate his brain.

According to Hill's statement to the police, she did not know the people in the Pontiac or why they shot at her auto.

Trenton Cornell-Duranleau, a 26-year-old hairstylist, was found dead in a Chicago apartment last week with multiple stab wounds. Lake Geneva police say a person handed the sum in cash to a library employee, but detectives admit they do not know why.

A bullet then hit the 4-year-old boy in the head.

The auto the mother said she honked at followed her and her son to the merge at Route 2 and I-90 just east of Dead Man's Curve where shots were fired into their vehicle.

The woman drove off of I-90 and exited at the East 55th Street ramp, where she called 911.

After the shooting, the boy was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital where he was reportedly conscious and breathing, Fox8 reported. Cleveland police said that the injured boy was sitting in the rear passenger side seat.

Police are still on the lookout for the two men who were allegedly responsible for the shooting.
