For the first time ever, Comic-Con and Game of Thronesare happening at the same time.

Hot news from Day 1 of San Diego Comic-Con.

Notably missing were the show's biggest stars, like Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey, as well as showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Alas, rather than forecast the season ahead, all eyes were aimed squarely toward the past.

New episodes of Game of Thrones premiere every Sunday at 10 p.m. on HBO. Kristian Nairn (a.k.a. Hodor) returned to moderate.

Warning: Contains spoilers for Game Of Thrones season seven. I think she finds it very awkward. "Daenerys has dragon fire", he tells the lords in the North. Of the pair, only Gwendoline Christie (who plays Brienne) was in attendance. She dismissed any true romance between the two, saying that Brienne would not be flattered by someone only interested in her physically.

"She could be propelled by her own intuitive sense of what is right".

The actual panel wasn't almost as revealing, since the cast is sworn to secrecy about what's coming up, but Sophie Turner had some interesting thoughts about Sansa Stark's evolution.

"What I love about Brienne is that I don't think that at the foremost of her consciousness is a value system that's based on how men appreciate her". So, by helping the Stark girls, Brienne is "connecting to an idea that's greater than herself". This year, though, with the current season just starting, there wasn't much the panel could talk about or show.

While some fans have hoped for a relationship between, say, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, or even sparks between Jaime and Brienne, it wasn't until previous year that we saw a potential relationship catch the imagination of fans across the board: Tormund and Brienne of Tarth.

Qatar Bows To Pressure, Amends Laws To Boost Terrorism
Recall that Doha, just a week ago, signed a consensus with the United States to strengthen its fight against terrorism financing. Doha has broken ranks and has played a divisive role in the Arab campaign in Yemen, Libya and Syria, he said.

"Jon Snow was kind of everything to Sam", he said.

If only Sansa Stark found such comfort in Jon.

Cunningham said he wished his "baby girl" Shireen hadn't died, and ruminated that he would "whip out a Glock" and "pop a couple of caps" in Melisandre if he got a chance to catch up with her. And it started with one script direction.

"She's woke now, guys, she's real woke", Turner said.

Nairn - who admitted he did not write the questions - asked each actor a few general questions about his or her character before getting into a variety of poll-type questions, such as, "Which character were you most sad to see die?" She sees the world in a different light.

- Would Davos really kill Melisandre if he were to ever encounter her again? She trusts no one.

Game of Thrones is now streaming on Foxtel. So just because someone is in power now, doesn't mean they will be the final victor of the game of thrones.

Plus, Turner shocked the crowd during a question about which dead character they'd most want to bring back by choosing...

But do you know who is a monster? "We can not defeat the Night King on our own".
